Brendan Rodgers pleased with Liverpool's week following quarter-final draw

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers suggests that his side have met their objectives for the week after playing out a goalless FA Cup quarter-final draw with Blackburn Rovers.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has suggested that his side have met this week's objectives despite their goalless draw with Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.

The Anfield club recently put together important wins over both Manchester City and Burnley to keep in the hunt for a Champions League spot, while a draw at home to Gary Bowyer's men has kept them in with a chance of reaching the semi-final stage of the cup.

"Our objective this week was to get four points out of six in the league and get into the next round of the FA Cup," said Rodgers, according to the Daily Star.

"We got six points out of six and although we are not through to the next round, we are still in the draw."

Liverpool currently hold fifth spot in the Premier League table, with 58 points from 21 games.
