Team News: Christian Benteke leads Liverpool line at Sunderland

Christian Benteke comes in for the injured Divock Origi as Liverpool travel to Sunderland in the final Premier League game of 2015.

Christian Benteke has come in for the injured Divock Origi as Liverpool travel to Sunderland in the final Premier League game of 2015.

Benteke replaced fellow Belgian Origi against Leicester City at the weekend and went on to score the winning goal to end the Foxes' unbeaten record in the Premier League this season.

Origi has not recovered from the hamstring problem he suffered on Boxing Day, so Benteke starts from the off tonight in the only change made by Jurgen Klopp.

Hosts Sunderland, meanwhile, have four changes in their side from the one that started Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Manchester City.

Jermain Defoe returns to the lead the Black Cats' line, while Wes Brown, Lee Cattermole and Jack Rodwell are also in the side.

Sunderland: Mannone; Jones, Coates, Brown, Van Aanholt; Cattermole, M'Vila, Rodwell; Johnson, Borini; Defoe
Subs: Pantilimon, Yedlin, Beadling, Watmore, Lens, Toivonen, Graham

Liverpool: Mignolet; Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno; Can, Henderson, Lallana; Firmino, Coutinho; Benteke
Subs: Bogdan, Toure, Lucas, Ibe, Randall, Smith, Teixeira
