Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Burnley.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp must work around the absence of Ibrahima Konate for Saturday's Premier League showdown with Burnley at Anfield.

The Frenchman was sent off for two bookable offences during last weekend's 3-1 loss to Arsenal, incurring a one-match ban in the process, and he is one of five definite absentees for the Reds.

Indeed, Klopp is also without the services of Thiago Alcantara (muscle), Stefan Bajcetic (calf), Mohamed Salah (thigh), Ben Doak (knee) and Joel Matip (knee), while Conor Bradley (personal) and Dominik Szoboszlai (thigh) are missing too, but Kostas Tsimikas (collarbone) is in full training again.

With Konate and Matip out of contention, Jarell Quansah will be drafted into the backline alongside Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker, who both produced arguably one of their worst displays in a Liverpool shirt at the Emirates last weekend.

Bradley sat out that loss due to the death of his father, and with the 20-year-old not ready to return this weekend, Trent Alexander-Arnold ought to reprise his right-back role. An alteration is not beyond the realm of possibility on the left, though, as Andrew Robertson seeks to end Joe Gomez's run in the team.

Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones are indispensable in the middle of the park, and even though Szoboszlai's absenc is far from ideal, Klopp should have Wataru Endo available again following Japan's Asian Cup elimination.

The former Stuttgart man - who has come into his own at Anfield - could operate in the number six role, thus demoting Ryan Gravenberch to the bench as Mac Allister is given licence to push further forward.

Darwin Nunez was only considered for a bench role against Arsenal due to a foot injury, but the Uruguayan is now primed to rejoin Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz in attack, displacing Cody Gakpo in the process.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Robertson; Jones, Endo, Mac Allister; Jota, Nunez, Diaz
