Philippe Coutinho completes Barcelona medical ahead of switch from Liverpool

Philippe Coutinho completes his medical with Barcelona ahead of his move from Liverpool.

Philippe Coutinho has completed his medical with Barcelona ahead of his £142m move from Liverpool, but will be unable to make his debut for up to three weeks after suffering a thigh injury.

The Spanish giants confirmed the news shortly after Coutinho's medical was completed on Monday morning.

The Brazilian international is in Barcelona attending to the final stages of his switch from Anfield, which was announced on Saturday.

However, Barcelona have reported that Coutinho will be out of action for around 20 days.

The Brazilian will sign his contract with the Spanish giants before he is officially presented as a Barcelona player inside Camp Nou at 12.30pm GMT.
