Djibril Cisse urges Mbappe to consider "once in a lifetime" Liverpool move

Former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse believes that PSG's Kylian Mbappe should consider a "once in a lifetime opportunity" of a move to Anfield.

Former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has urged Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe to consider a "once in a lifetime" opportunity of a move to Anfield.

The 22-year-old is yet to pen an extension on his existing PSG deal which expires in 2022, and he has been heavily linked with a switch to Liverpool or Real Madrid if he heads for the Parc des Princes exit door.

While Mbappe is still undecided on his future, Cisse has assured the forward that he would not regret it if he did decide to link up with the Merseyside giants.

Speaking to William Hill, Cisse said: "Kylian Mbappe suits the English style of football and he would fit into Liverpool's system well.

"The Kop would absolutely love him because they want players with a fighting spirit and a direct style of play that can always make something happen with them in the side. He's not the type of player who plays the ball side-to-side.

"He is always going to use the ball and go at players in a one-v-one situation and make things happen. He is always going to create chances.

"I think he would do very well at Liverpool, so we'll see what happens. If I had the chance to meet him and speak to him, then I would give him the advice to go. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity and he wouldn't regret it."

Mbappe opened the scoring in PSG's Classique victory over Marseille on Sunday evening - a goal which took him up to 16 for the Ligue 1 season.
