Paulo Fonseca is reportedly planning to swoop for a number of his former Roma stars upon his arrival at Tottenham Hotspur.
Daniel Levy's search for a successor for Jose Mourinho finally appears to be nearing an end, as Fonseca is understood to have agreed a three-year deal to take the reins in North London.
Former Spurs boss Mourinho has since assumed office at Roma, but the Portuguese could find a number of his players heading in the opposite direction as Fonseca talks transfers with newly-appointed director Fabio Paratici.
According to La Repubblica, Fonseca is keen to secure a triple swoop for Gianluca Mancini, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Gonzalo Villar after his official announcement as Tottenham manager.
Mancini and Villar were not selected for Italy or Spain's respective Euro 2020 squads - although the latter made his international debut in a 4-0 win over Lithuania before the tournament - while Pellegrini was called up by Roberto Mancini but had to withdraw due to injury.
However, Spurs would supposedly have to fend off interest from Barcelona and Liverpool to land Pellegrini, who is said to possess a £30m release clause in his Roma contract.
