Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Galatasaray.
It has been claimed that the Turkish giants are looking to push through a deal for Marseille midfielder Lassana Diarra, but it appears that they have lined up a backup option should they not complete the signing of the French international.
According to Fanatik, Galatasaray will try to tempt Lucas away from Anfield with the offer of regular first-team football after he found himself in and out of the team under Jurgen Klopp.
The 29-year-old still made 40 appearances in all competitions last season but with Liverpool not securing qualification for Europe, Klopp will not require as many squad members as he did during the previous campaign.
Galatasaray could make a bid of £2.5m for the Brazilian.
