Steven Gerrard insists on Liverpool stay

Steven Gerrard insists that he wants to remain at Liverpool as long as he possibly can.

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard has insisted that he will see out the remainder of his career at the Reds.

The 33-year-old England international's current contract with the Merseyside outfit runs out in 2015.

"If something happens where I fall out of contention or someone else comes along and takes my place and I stop enjoying it, if I still feel I could offer someone else something, of course I'd consider it, but for the time being I can see myself seeing it out here," he told Sky Sports News.

Gerrard joined Liverpool as a nine-year old.
