Jurgen Klopp plays down Marc-Andre ter Stegen talk

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp claims that he is not in the market for a new goalkeeper this month, despite rumours surrounding Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has poured cold water on suggestions that Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen could arrive at Anfield this month.

Ter Stegen, who has struggled for first-team football at Camp Nou this season, has been linked with a £12m move to Liverpool in recent days, while Cologne's Timo Horn has also been mentioned in reference to the Premier League club's goalkeeping situation.

However, Klopp has claimed that he is not in the market for a new stopper because current number one Simon Mignolet "is a really, really good keeper".

"No. They're good goalkeepers, but no. Our goalkeeping situation is absolutely okay. Simon Mignolet is a really, really good keeper," Klopp told reporters.

Adam Bogdan, who moved to Merseyside on a free transfer in the summer, is the current number two at Anfield.
