Liverpool are confident of winning the race to sign in-demand Fulham youngster Fabio Carvalho, according to a report.

Liverpool are reportedly becoming increasingly confident of winning the race to sign in-demand Fulham youngster Fabio Carvalho.

The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for the Cottagers this season, scoring three times and registering one assist in seven Championship appearances.

Carvalho's contract with Marco Silva's team is due to expire next June, though, and the teenager has allegedly turned down a lucrative offer from the club to pen an extension.

Real Madrid continue to be strongly linked with the attacker, while Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be showing an interest.

However, according to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are leading the race, and the Reds are confident of securing Carvalho's signature in 2022.

The report claims that Fulham could decide to sell the youngster during the January transfer window if they cannot convince him to sign a new deal in the coming weeks.

Carvalho has scored four times and registered one assist in 13 outings for the Cottagers.
