Liverpool join Real Madrid and Barcelona in the race for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz, according to a report.

Liverpool have reportedly entered the race for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

The Spain international is believed to be a leading target for both Barcelona and Real Madrid this summer.

Ruiz's agent Alvaro Torres recently claimed that some "very important clubs" had been in contact to discuss a potential move for the 23-year-old during this summer's transfer window.

According to Diario Madridista, Liverpool are now in the running for the Spaniard, although Napoli are allegedly not prepared to sell him for under £74m.

Ruiz's current deal in Naples will run until the summer of 2023, and Torres has revealed that, contrary to claims, there is no buy-out figure in the midfielder's contract.

This season, the former Real Betis youngster has contributed three goals and two assists in 32 appearances at club level.
