Liverpool have reportedly struck a 'first option' deal with Derby County for Will Hughes.
The Reds are said to be keen on the England Under-21 international, and have agreed to be given first refusal on the teenager by the Rams, according to The Mirror.
Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has tracked the progress of Hughes's career closely and has declined to make an official offer
so far as he is said to want him to continue to development with his current club.
It is believed that Andre Wisdom's loan move to Derby earlier this season was facilitated to smooth relations between the clubs.
