Liverpool are reportedly optimistic that they can agree a new deal with youngster Jordon Ibe before the end of this season.
The 19-year-old, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Derby County, will be out of contract after the 2015-16 campaign.
According to The Independent, Liverpool are keen to reward the teenager's form with an improved contract, despite Ibe being embroiled in a controversy for allegedly taking a legal high last week.
It is thought that the Reds are hopeful of getting Ibe to commit to a new five-year deal at Anfield.
Meanwhile, the Merseysiders are also said to be optimistic over the prospects of keeping Martin Skrtel at the Reds.
The Slovakian defender also sees his contract expire at the end of next season, but has been linked with a move away from the club.
