Liverpool are reportedly lining up offers to sign Lyon's Houssem Aouar and Udinese's Rodrigo De Paul, as they look to replace Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Dutchman's contract expires in June, and he is not expected to sign a new deal, which means the Reds are in the market for a replacement.
According to the Daily Star, Liverpool are big admirers of both Aouar and De Paul and the pair are at the top of their six-man shortlist of midfield targets this summer.
Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham, Borussia Monchengladbach's Florian Neuhaus, Brighton & Hove Albion's Yves Bissouma, and Sheffield United's Sander Berge are the other names that the Reds are said to be considering.
De Paul, who has recorded eight goals and nine assists in all competitions so far this season, has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan and Juventus, and is understood to be valued by Udinese at around £30m.
Meanwhile, Aouar – who has scored six goals and provided four assists this campaign – is also valued at a similar price by Lyon, and the 22-year-old is considering a move away from Ligue 1 this summer, as he hopes to play Champions League football next season.
