Liverpool 'to reject all interest in Mohamed Salah'

Liverpool reportedly tell Real Madrid that not even a world-record bid of more than £200m would be enough to prise PFA Player of the Year Mohamed Salah away from Anfield.

Liverpool have reportedly told Real Madrid that they will not sell Mohamed Salah at any price this summer amid reports that the Spanish giants could be lining up a world-record move.

Salah has been a revelation for the Reds since joining from Roma last summer, with his two goals in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against his former club taking him up to 43 for the season across all competitions.

Such form has drawn interest from a Madrid side who are expected to significantly overhaul their squad this summer, although Salah's value has continued to rise as the season has progressed.

It is understood that it would take a bid of at least £200m to even bring Liverpool to the table, equalling the sum Paris Saint-Germain paid for Neymar last year.

However, the Daily Mail reports that Liverpool would reject a world-record approach from Madrid as they look to build a potential title challenge around Salah, whose 43-goal haul includes a record-equalling 31 in the Premier League already.

The newly-crowned PFA Player of the Year still has four years remaining on his £90,000-a-week contract at Liverpool, and the Reds are understood to be reviewing those terms as a result of Salah's relentless goalscoring form.
