Newcastle United have reportedly lined up a bid for Porto winger Luis Diaz.
Now under the ownership of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, the Magpies are said to be gearing up for an eye-catching transfer window after the turn of the year, with the Colombian said to have attracted their interest.
According to Marca, Newcastle are preparing to meet Diaz's £80m release clause to snatch him from Portuguese giants Porto in January.
The Colombian attracted plenty of interest from clubs across Europe over the summer, following a Copa America campaign that produced four goals in five outings, with the likes of Liverpool, Everton and Barcelona reportedly declaring their interest.
Diaz has carried his form into the new season, netting six goals and providing an assist in the first eight games of the Primeira Liga campaign.
