Liverpool are reportedly struggling to attract any suitable offers for wantaway defender Nat Phillips.

Liverpool are reportedly struggling to attract offers for Nat Phillips which meet their asking price.

Having barely played for the Merseyside giants this season, the centre-back will be allowed to depart Anfield should their £15m valuation be met before Monday's deadline.

Watford emerged as a potential destination earlier in the January transfer window, while Burnley and Newcastle United are also said to be admirers.

However, according to The Athletic, none of those clubs have been prepared to meet the figure demanded by Liverpool.

The 24-year-old's one and only start for Liverpool this season came away at AC Milan in the Champions League, but the Englishman impressed during a fixture where he also fractured his cheekbone.

Phillips is now on the brink of a return to action, leaving it plausible that several late approaches could be made on Monday.
