Barcelona are reportedly confident of wrapping up a deal for Adrien Rabiot at the end of the season as the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has informed the Spanish champions that he is ready to join.
Rabiot is a long-term target for Barca and is believed to have been on the brink of signing for the club during the most recent transfer window.
A move did not materialise, however, and Premier League side Liverpool have since emerged as a genuine rival for the France international's signature.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo suggests that Rabiot has no intention of extending his PSG contract beyond the end of next summer, somewhat forcing the Ligue 1 giants' hand.
The same report indicates that Barcelona director Eric Abidal recently visited Paris to speak with both Rabiot and PSG, and the player outlined his desire to get a deal over the line at the end of the campaign.
