Report: Liverpool want to re-sign Thomas Ince

Liverpool reportedly line up a bid for Blackpool's Thomas Ince, despite allowing the winger to leave Anfield on a free transfer just over a year ago.

Liverpool are reportedly lining up a bid for Blackpool winger Thomas Ince.

The 20-year-old began his career at Anfield before leaving to join the Tangerines on a free transfer in August 2011.

However, according to The Mirror, Reds manager Brendan Rodgers wants Ince to return to Merseyside and is willing to offer Blackpool £5m for his services.

It is understood that Liverpool are entitled to 35% of Ince's next transfer fee, meaning that they would effectively receive a third back if they re-signed him.

Ince has scored nine goals in 14 Championship appearances this season.
