Sevilla deny agreeing Alberto Moreno sale

Sevilla club president Jose Castro reveals that Liverpool are yet to agree a fee with the La Liga side for defender Alberto Moreno.

Sevilla have denied that they have reached an agreement to sell Alberto Moreno to Liverpool during this summer's transfer window.

The Reds have been in talks with the Spanish side over the defender, leading to speculation that he would join Brendan Rodgers's side after this week's Super Cup.

However, club president Jose Castro told reporters in Spain: "There has been a negotiation [over Moreno] 10 days ago but no agreement.

"It depends on them. I have said the price is set by us. If they pay the amount in a timely manner a deal will go through, and if not he will remain."

The Europa League champions will face Champions League winners Real Madrid at the Millennium Stadium tomorrow.
