Luis Suarez is reportedly only likely to return to Liverpool during this summer's transfer window if the Reds sell Mohamed Salah.
The 34-year-old joined Atletico Madrid from Barcelona last September, and he has been in impressive form for Diego Simeone's side, scoring 19 times in 32 appearances in all competitions.
Suarez is allegedly keen to leave the capital club this summer, though, and continues to be linked with a return to Liverpool, where he scored 82 goals in 133 appearances between 2011 and 2014.
According to Cuatro, there is genuine interest from Jurgen Klopp's side, who were knocked out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage by Real Madrid on Wednesday evening.
However, the report claims that the Uruguay international is only expected to move to Anfield if Salah departs during this summer's transfer window.
The Egyptian, who continues to be linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona, is allegedly of the opinion that the reigning Premier League champions are open to the idea of selling him in the near future.
