Liverpool target Milos Kerkez is reportedly keen on a move from Bournemouth to Anfield during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Liverpool target Milos Kerkez has reportedly informed friends of his desire for an Anfield switch during the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old has spent the past week away from Bournemouth on international duty, with Hungary unable to retain their spot in League A of the UEFA Nations League after losing to Turkey over two legs.

Focusing on club matters, Liverpool are on the lookout for a refresh in the left-back department this summer, when the Reds could dip into the La Liga market for a wideman.

There is also interest in Kerkez, who has started all 29 of the Cherries' Premier League matches during 2024-25 as they hunt down an unlikely Champions League berth.

After mustering up just the single goal contribution across his debut campaign for Bournemouth, the Hungarian has bagged two goals and provided five assists in the top flight this time around.

Liverpool target Kerkez is 100% about Anfield switch?

According to Football Insider, there has been a major development in the future of Bournemouth and Hungary star Kerkez ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The report claims that the 21-year-old has informed friends of his desire for a high-profile switch to the Premier League leaders over the summer.

It is understood that Arne Slot's side have opened talks with representatives of Kerkez as the first stages of a potential deal commence.

The Europe-chasing Cherries are in line to make a significant profit from the offload of the left-back, who joined for £18m from AZ Alkmaar during the summer of 2023.

It is believed that Bournemouth are looking to pocket at least £40m from the sale of Kerkez, who could link up with compatriot Dominik Szoboszlai on Merseyside.

Liverpool planning for the future

Despite the definitive start of a new era at Anfield following the departure of Jurgen Klopp, it is Liverpool's old guard who are largely to thank for a successful campaign in the Premier League so far.

Egyptian king Mohamed Salah is set to break all kinds of goalscoring and assist records this term, while Virgil van Dijk remains a formidable force at the back for the Reds.

However, there are cracks beginning to show in the tapestry at Anfield, with the likes of Andy Robertson likely to be replaced over the summer.
