Luton Town are allegedly interested in securing the signing of Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski.

Luton Town have reportedly identified Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski as a potential summer signing.

The Hatters are currently preparing for their first-ever Premier League campaign after earning promotion through the Championship playoffs.

As it stands, Rob Edwards is yet to make any signings with the club instead more focused on ensuring that Kenilworth Road meets Premier League requirements.

Nevertheless, that is not to say that Edwards is not being proactive in his search for new players, a report earlier this week suggesting that Birmingham City playmaker Tahith Chong is on his radar.

Edwards also has decisions to make regarding his goalkeepers, with last season's first-choice stopper Ethan Horvath having been on loan from Nottingham Forest.

The United States international made 47 starts throughout the campaign, and the expectation was that Luton would push through a permanent deal.

However, according to The Sun, Edwards has instead opted against signing Horvath for £1.5m to move for Kaminski in his place.

Kaminski has just endured a frustrating second half to the season, an injury resulting in Bradley Pears taking his place and retaining it until the end of the campaign.

Before that, though, the Belgian was still able to make 28 starts in the Championship, and his stock remains high despite having to play second fiddle since January.

The 30-year-old still has two years left on his contract, effectively meaning that Jon Dahl Tomasson does not have to be in any rush to give the green light to a sale.

As it stands, the report claims that Luton and Blackburn are yet to agree a fee, but it is hinted that Kaminski is Edwards's first choice for the number-one role at Luton.

Since moving to Blackburn in 2020, Kaminski has kept 33 clean sheets from 118 appearances in all competitions, building on his 67 outings in the colours of Gent before his move to English football.

Edwards is also reportedly keen to sign Asmir Begovic as the club's deputy, with the Bosnia-Herzegovina veteran having held that position at Everton for the past two seasons.
