Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff has declared that his side are prepared to dig deep against Real Sociedad as the two teams fight for a place in the Champions League group stages.
Remi Garde's men have started the season in fine form, scoring seven goals in successive wins to top Ligue 1 after two matches.
Gourcuff believes that his young side can channel that form into a positive result against Sociedad, ahead of the first leg at the Stade Gerland this evening.
He told reporters: "We know Spanish football very well, we know they have very technical players and their style is based on a lot of movement.
"We are ready for a very tough game against a team coming off an excellent season, but we will try and stop them from playing their normal game."
The French international has been on target in each of Lyon's league games this season, including scoring a free kick from range against Nice on the opening day.
