Lyon beat 10-man Evian TG

Lyon beat 10-man Evian TG 3-0 in this afternoon's Ligue 1 clash, with two goals coming from Alexandre Lacazette.

Lyon have defeated 10-man Evian TG 3-0 at home in Ligue 1.

Evian controlled the opening stages of the encounter, keeping the ball well as Lyon chased the game.

However, the hosts took the lead against the run of play after 19 minutes through Bafetimbi Gomis, who struck low from the edge of the area following a corner.

The away side continued to push forward despite going a goal down and troubled the Lyon defence with some testing balls into the area.

Evian were dealt a blow on 40 minutes when John Mensah was shown two yellow cards in quick succession and was sent off, leaving his side with 10 men.

Two minutes later, Lyon took advantage of their extra man and doubled their lead through Alexandre Lacazette, who expertly chipped the ball over the goalkeeper.

Evian started the second half well and attacked Lyon, although the home side made use of their extra man when the tempo increased to keep the visitors at bay.

Lyon wrapped up the game with a third goal on 76 minutes from Lacazette on the counter-attack.
