A statement on Macclesfield Town's official website has confirmed that the club have appointed John Askey as their new manager.
Askey, who took charge of the club in the latter part of last season, has also brought former Nigerian defender Efe Sodje to work as his assistant.
"Macclesfield Town have ended a summer of speculation by announcing the new managerial team to take charge of the Silkmen for the 2013-14 campaign," read the statement.
"And it will be a pair of genuine Silkmen legends at the helm, as John Askey is appointed as manager, bringing Efe Sodje in to work as his assistant."
It is understood that the pair will speak to the media on Tuesday afternoon.
