Manchester City injury news and return dates for Real Madrid - John Stones concern

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg with Real Madrid.

Firmly in control of both their Premier League and Champions League destinies, Manchester City welcome Real Madrid to their Etihad base for the second leg of their quarter-final tie in the latter tournament on Wednesday.

Last week's battle of the Bernabeu ended with both continental behemoths striking three times in a six-goal extravaganza, one which undoubtedly benefits the holders more upon their return to home territory.

As Arsenal and Liverpool faltered at the weekend, Pep Guardiola's crop took full advantage with a 5-1 pummelling of Luton Town, thus opening up a two-point lead at the top of the pile.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Los Blancos, who edged past Mallorca 1-0 in Saturday's La Liga contest.

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: April 17 (vs. Real Madrid)

All of Kyle Walker, Phil Foden, Nathan Ake and Kevin De Bruyne were at the hosts' disposal at the weekend in a quadruple injury boost, but frequent injury victim John Stones was nowhere to be seen. Guardiola revealed that the English defender was dealing with some "niggles", but his concerns ought to clear up in time for the second leg, likely leaving the City boss with a full squad to pick from.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST
