Manchester City striker Erling Braut Haaland has won the European Player of the Season award in the Sports Mole Writers' Awards for 2022-23.
The 22-year-old scored 52 goals in just 53 games across all competitions for the Citizens this season, helping to fire them to a treble of Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
Man City are only the second English club to ever achieve that particular treble, with Haaland proving to be the star man in their greatest ever season.
A record 36 of his goals came in just 35 league outings - more goals than any player has ever scored in a single Premier League campaign before - a record which saw him unanimously voted as the overall Premier League Player of the Season by our team of reporters.
Haaland was also unsurprisingly named the best forward and best signing of the season, and he has now completed a clean sweep of the Writers' Awards by being named the European Player of the Season.
The Norway international also took every award that was on offer to him in our Readers' Awards last week.
Haaland won 55% of our reporters' votes for Europe's best player in 2022-23, with Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior proving to be his closest challenger having taken 20%.
Victor Osimhen's heroics in helping to fire Napoli to a first Serie A title since 1990 earned him 15% of the votes, while his teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham earned one vote apiece.
