Manchester City have confirmed that defender Eric Garcia has been released from hospital following his sickening collision with teammate Ederson on Wednesday night.
The 19-year-old required oxygen and a neck brace during lengthy treatment on the pitch after Ederson came rushing out of his goal and clattered into his defender when clearing the ball.
Garcia was carried off on a stretcher and subsequently taken to hospital, where he was held overnight for tests.
However, he has now returned home and will continue to be monitored by Man City's medical staff in the coming days.
