Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has hinted that Carlos Tevez could remain at the club beyond the end of this season.
Tevez recently returned to first-team action following a lengthy absence due to a dispute with Mancini but admitted earlier this week that he would like to stay at the club.
It now appears as though Mancini has forgiven the striker and would also be open to Tevez staying at the club.
The Italian said when asked about Tevez's future at Eastlands: "Why not? He has a contract. And he is a good player."
Tevez's return to action has coincided with the team's return to the top of the Premier League.
