Samir Nasri reveals that he is hoping to be recalled to the France squad for their friendly against Belgium later this month.

Samir Nasri has revealed that he is hoping to be recalled to the France squad for their upcoming friendly against Belgium.

The Manchester City midfielder missed Les Bleus' recent tour of Brazil with a knee injury after serving a suspension for the national team.

"Having to withdraw from the French team two months ago was terribly frustrating," Nasri told L'Equipe.

"The team is building and it is better to not miss such an opportunity. I have had a good talk with Didier Deschamps but I didn't have any other news since, so I hope to be called on against Belgium."

France take on Belgium in Brussels on August 14.
