Samir Nasri hails Manuel Pellegrini's impact at Manchester City and says that his coaching style has similarities with Arsene Wenger's methods.

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has heaped praise on new manager Manuel Pellegrini and compared his style to that of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

The Chilean arrived at the Etihad Stadium earlier this summer and has outlined on several occasions that he wants to play attractive football with the club.

Nasri, who played for Arsenal from 2008 to 2011, believes that Pellegrini's management is similar to what he worked under for Wenger earlier in his career.

"For the moment it's pretty good. He's someone who talks with the players, so it's always good for the player to know exactly what he's doing; if it's good or if it's wrong," Nasri told Manchester City's official website.

"What I like about him is he talks about everything outside football; how you are in your life and stuff and it's pretty important for a manager to understand these things, like a psychologist, it's good.

"He's a little bit like Arsene Wenger in the way he works. Same kind of training, same attitude as well. What's different between him and other managers I've worked with is he's very present in training. He's not scared to stop the training when something is wrong."

Nasri moved to City from Arsenal in 2011 for around £25m.
