Peter Shilton urges England's Joe Hart to "tighten up" style

Peter Shilton believes that Joe Hart needs to "tighten up" his game in order to remain the number one goalkeeper for England.

Former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton believes that Joe Hart needs to change his style in order to keep the number one spot.

The Manchester City shot-stopper, who has been under fire of late following a number of blunders for his club, sat out of the Three Lions' 2-0 defeat to Chile at Wembley last Friday.

"Joe Hart is still England's number one," Shilton told talkSPORT. "Long-term, though, he's got to look at his game and tighten up his style.

"He's got the ability but he's a little loose at times, things go through him. He just needs to tighten his style up. He's young enough to do that and he can improve."

Hart will start for England in tonight's friendly against Germany.
