Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair has reportedly had one of his ribs removed in order to eliminate a blood clot in his shoulder.
The former Swansea City star was struck down with the condition over a fortnight ago, resulting in him being taken to hospital with the non life-threatening problem.
It is believed that a rib has been removed after doctors discovered that it was putting pressure on a vein and causing the clot, according to ESPN.
Reports have claimed that the 24-year-old, who made just 11 appearances for City this season, has been prescribed blood-thinning drug warfarin for three months.
