Pablo Zabaleta predicts that Manchester City will begin a new era if they clinch the Premier League title on Sunday.

Pablo Zabaleta has claimed that the current squad at Manchester City can begin a new era for the club.

Roberto Mancini's men need to beat Queens Park Rangers on Sunday to clinch their first league title since 1968 and Zabaleta is keen to be a part of the Citizens' future success.

The full-back told the club's official website: "We're only 90 minutes away from making history.

"If we succeed it is probably the start of a new era for this club.

"As a team, I think it's going to be without doubt the most important game we've ever played in."

Mancini's side have won their previous five matches.
