Team News: Sergio Aguero missing as Manchester City face Everton

Sergio Aguero misses out on a place in Manchester City squad ahead of Saturday's Premier League match against Everton at Goodison Park.

Sergio Aguero has failed to win a place in the Manchester City squad ahead of Saturday's Premier League match against Everton at Goodison Park.

The Argentina forward has been sidelined after feeling discomfort in his knee during training and missed both of his national side's friendly fixtures during the international break.

Although Pep Guardiola admitted in his pre-match press conference that Aguero was feeling "much, much better", the striker has not been risked against the Toffees.

Man City have made only one change from their 2-0 win at Stoke City last time out as Oleksandr Zinchenko is named on the bench, with Aymeric Laporte coming in at left-back.

John Stones suffered concussion on international duty with England and does not feature against his former club.

Everton, meanwhile, have made two changes as Idrissa Gueye misses out due to a hamstring injury, while Tom Davies is on the bench.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Morgan Schneiderlin are named in the Toffees starting XI instead as Sam Allardyce's side seeks to claim yet more points against the Citizens.

Everton: Pickford; Coleman, Keane, Jagielka, Baines; Schneiderlin, Rooney; Walcott, Calvert-Lewin, Bolasie; Tosun
Subs: Robles, Martina, Niasse, Funes Mori, Davies, Vlasic, Baningime

Manchester City: Ederson; Kompany, Otamendi, Laporte; Walker, Fernandinho, Silva, De Bruyne, Sane; Sterling, Jesus
Subs: Bravo, Danilo, Gundogan, Bernardo, Adarabioyo, Zinchenko, Nmecha
