Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Everton

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Everton.

Manchester City will be aiming to extend their phenomenal winning run across all competitions to 17 matches when they take on Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday evening.

Pep Guardiola's merciless men struck three times against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening to open up a seven-point gap at the top of the Premier League table, although Manchester United could cut that lead to five depending on how they fare against West Bromwich Albion.

The Citizens also recorded a seventh consecutive home clean sheet - equalling their all-time club record - with that 3-0 success against Spurs, but they are now facing an Everton side who put five past Jose Mourinho's men in the FA Cup last week.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 27 (vs. West Ham United)

Kevin De Bruyne has returned to individual training as he battles his way back from a hamstring problem, but the Belgian playmaker is still a couple of weeks away from a first-team comeback.

Ilkay Gundogan

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: February 21 (vs. Arsenal)

The prolific Ilkay Gundogan took his tally to 11 for the Premier League season with a brace against Tottenham, but a sombre sight soon followed as the 30-year-old was forced off with a tight groin. Gundogan will not make the cut on Wednesday but could return in time to face Arsenal at the weekend.

Fernandinho

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 17 (vs. Everton)

Fernandinho missed out the FA Cup win at Swansea and Saturday's triumph over Tottenham due to "niggles" in his thigh, and it remains to be seen if he will be available for selection in midweek.

Nathan Ake

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: Unknown

Nathan Ake continues to struggle with a muscular problem and is unlikely to return for this one, but the Dutchman would struggle to break into Man City's resilient rearguard at the moment.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man City have no players suspended for this game.
