Barcelona and Manchester City are reportedly still some way apart in their valuations of Eric Garcia.
The 19-year-old has refused to sign a new contract at the Etihad Stadium, meaning that as it stands, he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
Barca are said to be determined to re-sign the centre-back before Monday's transfer deadline, and the two clubs are believed to be have been locked in negotiations over the last few weeks.
However, according to Marca, City are not willing to drop their €30m (£27.2m) asking price for the teenager, while the Catalan giants are only prepared to offer €10m (£9m).
Pep Guardiola's side are allegedly open to the idea of Garcia leaving, having strengthened in central defence this summer, but the Premier League giants will not drop their asking price.
Garcia, who made his Spain debut in September, left Barca's youth system to link up with City in July 2017.
