Birmingham City emerge as the bookmakers' favourites to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart during the summer transfer window.

Birmingham City have emerged as the bookmakers' favourites to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The England international does not feature in the plans of manager Pep Guardiola, and with just a year left on his contract, City will allow the stopper to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Hart has been linked with a wide range of clubs, but Birmingham have seemingly become a possible destination for the 31-year-old.

On Wednesday, SkyBet reduced odds regarding a transfer to just 2/1, just 24 hours after Hart had been priced at 12/1 to spend a second period at St Andrew's.

Hart made 36 Premier League appearances for the West Midlands outfit during a loan spell in the 2009-10 campaign, which led to his becoming City's new number one.
