Dedryck Boyata is to make a return to Bolton Wanderers on loan.
The defender is currently back at parent club Manchester City receiving treatment for an ankle injury.
However, Trotters boss Owen Coyle revealed that the 20-year-old is ready to challenge for the full-back spot after Joe Riley's injury.
"Dedryck is definitely on his way back," Coyle told the Bolton Evening News.
"I don't know if the Everton game will be too quick. But we are hoping he's back training with us at full capacity by the end of the week.
"He is destined for a big career and it will be great to get him back."
Bolton host Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
