Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan reportedly has no plans to leave the Premier League champions despite interest from Barcelona.
The 31-year-old has registered seven goals and five assists in 31 matches for City this term but has failed to nail down a regular starting place in the Premier League.
Gundogan has featured from the first whistle on 15 occasions in the top flight this season, and he now has less than 18 months left to run on his existing Etihad contract.
According to the Daily Star, Barcelona have been alerted to Gundogan's contract situation, but the ex-Borussia Dortmund man is prepared to snub interest from the Catalan club.
The report adds that City will soon begin discussions over a new deal for Gundogan, and Pep Guardiola has given the green light for contract talks to commence.
Gundogan has amassed 46 goals and 32 assists in 242 matches for the English champions since arriving in 2016, winning three Premier League titles, four EFL Cups and the FA Cup in Manchester.
