Joleon Lescott rules out Manchester City exit

Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott says that he wants to stay at the club and help them to win the quadruple this season.

Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has claimed that he never thought about leaving the club during the January transfer window.

The 31-year-old has found his first-team opportunities limited under Manuel Pellegrini this season, but says that he wants to stay and help the club to trophy success.

"A loan move was never on the cards for me - it had nothing to do with wages, just simply a chance to win four trophies with City this season," he wrote on Twitter.

Lescott's current contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
