Manchester City are reportedly making every effort to advance contract negotiations with Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.

Manchester City reportedly intend to make use of the current enforced break by holding contract talks with Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.

Despite both players having over three years remaining on their contract, speculation persists regarding a future exit for the pair.

City's efforts to tie the creative duo down to extended deals is made tougher by the uncertainty over the club's future in European competitions for the next two seasons.

However, according to The Sun, the hierarchy at the Premier League giants are looking to make progress in negotiations with each player.

Turing 29 years of age in June, De Bruyne is aware that he may only have one more opportunity to make the switch to another high-profile club.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Sterling has long been linked with a future transfer to Real Madrid.
