Manchester City 'in talks with Spanish forward Ruben Sobrino'

Manchester City reportedly open talks with Spanish forward Ruben Sobrino, who is part-owned by Real Madrid.

Manchester City have reportedly opened discussions with Spanish forward Ruben Sobrino.

The 23-year-old currently plies his trade at Pontferradina, but remains part-owned by Real Madrid after he came through the club's academy.

According to The Mirror, Madrid have first refusal on the player, but City are widely expected to secure the forward's signature before the close of the transfer window on September 1.

Sobrino, who scored five goals last season, helped Pontferradina earn their highest ever league position in the second division.
