Manchester City are reportedly pushing to open contract talks with Erling Haaland amid suggestions that Real Madrid are planning to move for him next summer.
Haaland has been in incredible form for Man City since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund, scoring 69 goals and registering 13 assists in 71 appearances in all competitions.
Last season, the Norway international netted 52 times to help the Citizens win the treble, while he has found the back of the net on 17 occasions in 18 appearances this term.
A recent report claimed that Real Madrid had dropped their interest in Kylian Mbappe in order to focus on a move for Haaland, with the forward allegedly having a buy-out fee of around €200m (£175m) in his contract.
The 23-year-old has another four years left to run on his current deal, but according to 90min, Man City are pushing to open discussions with him over a new contract.

The report claims that the Citizens want to increase the release clause in Haaland's deal, but the forward is not in a rush to open discussions, as he is already one of the highest earners at the club.
Rafaela Pimenta, who represents Haaland, said that the forward is "the master of his destiny" when recently asked about his future.
"Erling is the master of his destiny," Pimenta told Relevo. "Not just now but his entire life and 100%. What I mean is that you have to use balance. We, club and player. We are all in the same boat.
"Things have to be talked about, treated, in such a way that everyone is okay. Comfortable and satisfied with the experience, they live together.

"I think it is not necessary to say that Erling does what he wants. It is not true. Erling is always going to do what is good for him and for his club, Manchester City. When everyone is willing to make a change, it will be done.
"He's not the type of player who's going to say: 'I'm leaving, bye, I don't want to know anything'. It is not like this. And it's not going to happen because respect comes before everything. If they give it to him, he will give it too."
Haaland has scored 13 times and registered three assists in 12 Premier League appearances this season, while he has four goals and one assist in four Champions League outings.
The centre-forward has emerged as a doubt for Man City's clash with Liverpool next weekend, though, after suffering an ankle injury during Norway's friendly clash with the Faroe Islands.
Barcelona are also said to be huge admirers of Haaland, viewing him as the ideal long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, but the Catalan outfit will struggle to afford him due to their financial problems.
