Manchester City have reportedly turned down a £71m offer from Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane.
Bayern president Uli Hoeness recently confirmed that the German champions were interested in signing Sane during this summer's transfer window.
The 23-year-old scored 16 times and contributed 18 assists in 47 appearances for City during the 2018-19 campaign.
However, the Germany international found himself out of favour in the latter stages of the season with Bernardo Silva pushed forward to join Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero in attack.
According to The Guardian, Bayern - seeking replacements for Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery - launched a £71m bid for Sane but that was rejected outright by the Premier League champions.
Sane, who is thought to be valued in the region of £100m by Pep Guardiola's side, only has two years remaining on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium.
The attacker has scored 39 times in 133 appearances for City since a 2016 switch from Schalke 04.
