Roberto Mancini believes that Edin Dzeko will thrive in Italy if he decides to leave Manchester City.

Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes that striker Edin Dzeko would benefit from a move to Italy.

The Bosnian's future at the Etihad Stadium has been in doubt in recent months, even more so since the official appointment of new manager Manuel Pellegrini on a three-year deal.

"Dzeko is a great striker and he could score 20-30 goals a season in Italy," the Manchester Evening News quotes Mancini as saying. "I'm sure of that."

Napoli, who are now being led by new manager Rafael Benitez, have been linked with a swoop for Dzeko.
