Nolito "crazy to leave" Manchester City if new signings made

Nolito airs his frustration at his lack of chances in the second half of the season, admitting that he wants to leave Manchester City for a return to Spain.

Manchester City winger Nolito has admitted that he will attempt to push through a summer exit if manager Pep Guardiola makes further midfield signings.

The 30-year-old joined the Citizens from Celta Vigo in a £13.8m transfer last July and made a positive first impression by netting three times in his first three outings.

Nolito found playing time harder to come by as the season went on, though, racking up just three more goals in his next 27 outings as City struggled in the league and cups.

After a frustrating campaign, the Spain international could now be tempted to move back to his homeland if things do not improve.

"We will see what happens," he told Tiempo de Juego. "I would like to go back to Spain, honestly, but it depends on City. I have a contract for two years and we will see what happens.

"Let's see. If three more wide players come and they offer me the chance to leave... I am like crazy to leave. Until December I played practically everything and then I have not played anything. I have several preferred teams but I will not tell them."

City have already agreed a deal to bring Bernardo Silva to the Etihad Stadium from AS Monaco on July 1, and Guardiola has reportedly been given the funds to sign more star names.
