Report: Toni Kroos is Pep Guardiola's top transfer target at Manchester City

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is reportedly at the top of Pep Guardiola's transfer wishlist ahead of his move to Manchester City.

Incoming Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly placed Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos at the top of his transfer wishlist.

Guardiola will arrive at the Etihad Stadium in the summer following a three-year spell in charge of Bayern Munich.

The Spaniard is expected to bring in a number of players in the next transfer window, and according to Marca, Kroos is his main target.

The midfielder played under Guardiola during the Spaniard's first season at the Allianz Arena, but he joined Madrid later that year.

Reports have claimed that Guardiola will swoop for Ilkay Gundogan should he fail to land Kroos.
