Roma eyeing January swoop for Micah Richards?

Micah Richards is a January target for Serie A title contenders Roma, according to a report.

Roma will make an effort to sign Manchester City defender Micah Richards in January, according to a report.

The 25-year-old has struggled with injury over the past year and is thought to be second choice to Pablo Zabaleta in the right-back role at the Etihad Stadium.

Premier League side Newcastle United have been linked with the England international, who started just two games all season.

However, talkSPORT reports that the Giallorossi are also interested in adding him to their defensive ranks, while Inter Milan are also rumoured to be monitoring the situation.

The Rome outfit currently top Serie A with seven wins from seven matches.
